Rafa’s Sunday Night Notes

Rafael Nadal won the French Open today when he defeated Robin Soderling 6-4,6-2,6-4 in Paris.  I did not get to see any of it but apparently it was a blowout.  Nadal dominated Soderling from the beginning and there was not looking back for Nadal.  Now its on to Wimbledon, where hopefully we will see another great match like the one between Nadal and Federer 2 years ago.

– Game 2 of the NBA Finals are tonight, and hopefully the fighting Rajon Rondo’s will win.  It is currently 17-15 with 5 minutes left in the first.  Should be better than this hockey game thats happening now too…

World Cup starts June 11… and Didier Drogba is doubtful for the Ivory Coast after hurting his arm.  This will end the cinderella story that they would have likely had during the Cup.  Now its all over for them…

– Denny Hamlin won the NASCAR race at Pocano today.  Now let’s all give this a line from Gone With the Wind, “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

– The Pac-Ten has sent invites for the entire Big 12 South to join there conference.  This would be huge and could leave Kansas no where to go but the Big Ten or Mountain West.  That would be horrible because they would dominate in everything except for football.  It would make Big Ten basketball a little more high scoring though…

Ebled24 is now on twitter… lets follow him…

– In a few weeks JTOTS and Brad Pollard will be joining RD Sports so hopefully this will be any better, though it is the best right now.
